| Vintage Russian Arkhangelsk Folk Art Clay Figure This Russian Folk Art hand-painted clay figure was made in the 1940's to 1950's as part of a cultural crafts revival in the former Soviet Union. These figures are made in exactly the same way they have been for hundreds of years in small villages across Russia as a cootage industry. These whimsical and colorful pieces portray various characters from well-known Russian folklore and fairy tales. This dancing clay couis the oldest form of this knid of folk art. They were made in the Arkhangelsk region, in Northwestern Russia, just south of the White Sea. Measurement is 7 1/2 inches tall. Item #: fa04 —SOLD— |
